Meditation is a practice of quieting the mind and connecting to the stillness that lies within. The various techniques of meditation all aim at helping to focus the mind inward, away from the external world and events taking place in it. This brings space to your thoughts and doings, so that you begin to become aware of various levels of consciousness.
The mind itself is the biggest obstacle to experiencing your essential nature. Meditation is a valuable way of training the mind so that you are not distracted by the continual swirling of your thoughts or caught in unconscious action.
With meditation, you are able to go beyond the mind and drop into a state of being.

Meditation is not about doing. It is the realization that you are, as you connect to the being that underlies all doing, thinking, and concepts. You encounter a deeper sensing of the life that you are, the expression of life that you are.
As your meditation practice deepens, you experience the BEING-ness behind everything and come into alignment with yourself and with the totality of your being. Since it is beyond concepts, there is nothing to understand with the mind. Yet, while in this relaxed state of consciousness, insights and knowing arise.
Meditation practice is to play with consciousness, beyond time, logic, mind, concepts. It is only this, what you are experiencing in the now, the I AM, the being-ness.

There are certain specific practices that serve as a doorway into meditative awareness. Some of these include focusing on the breath, being guided in a visualization, noticing sensations, or sending loving kindness (metta).
By engaging in an intentional meditation practice, you cultivate the state of meditative awareness in your daily life and become more thoughtful in your actions and interactions. You can let go of obsessive striving, controlling, or speeding toward a particular outcome, wishing things to be different, or being overloaded with thought clutter. Meditation opens you to a new depth of being.

Small Group Private Sessions $10 - 25 / person / hour depending on group size
Gather a group of your friends and come meditate together! I will lead you in meditation and/or a guided visualization. Journal. Practice mindfulness. Set intentions. Manifest desires. However you wish to dream and connect with yourselves, this is the space.
